Someone with better food science understanding than myself may be able to figure this out. I just know that it works. We pop our own popcorn in a heavy pan on the stove. (Too many evil chemicals and fat in the microwave stuff!) After an evening movie at home where I had about
three cups of popped corn for my snack I arose the next morning to a lovely 106. I thought that it was a fluke but after it happened several more times I have started using it for an evening snack a few times a week.
Don't know why or how but popcorn has finally defeated my dawn phenomenon. I'd love to hear if it works for you. Recipe: 1 heavy dutch oven or similar covered pot, about
3 tbs. oil, 1/2 cup of popcorn. Pop, ad salt when finished. Take out your serving bowl full and share the rest with family.
