What is everyone's go to food (or drink) when you feel like having something 'sweet'?
I have only been taking my Diabetes seriously for a few weeks now, so in the past I would just eat whatever I wanted. I have tried sugar free ice pops and jello, but so far I still seem to be craving sweet things.
Does this go away over time and management, or do we deal with this long term?
Thanks for any advice

I think the desire lessens the longer you don't eat sugary food. I snack on nuts and cheese and sometimes a sugar-free yogurt but sometimes I'll throw in a few raisins into the mix of nuts. I don't eat the sugar-free candy because it upsets my digestion. Eating too much food with sugar alcohols will do that. Other artificial sweeteners like I use in my coffee don't do that. In a salad I'll also put in several of those dried cranberries. They are sweetened with sugar so I don't use a lot.

I'll eat a small apple. I also find peanut butter safisfying. Sometimes I'll have a one-inch square of dark chocolate. Or even one small gingersnap. The key is in the portion. If I ate half a dozen oreos, I'd be in trouble.

Wow tough question, I guess I don't eat snack food, I usually eat enough at my 3 meals that I don't feel like snacking, I never really been a snack eater before I became Diabetic, at 15 I didn't really like sweets, people tell me I am strange
