Sorry about
the gastritis problem. I hope it's not an ulcer but I'm glad you're under a doctor's care. My husband had a duodenal ulcer and it was taken out and hasn't had a problem since.
I know this is a lousy way to start the new year but at the same time, you're taking care of your health now so it won't get worse. That's good news.
Having a parent and a grandparent with diabetes puts you at risk also. (Just like me.
) However, you are young and your blood sugar is NOT critical now. I think your doctor is concerned about
you and doesn't want you to develop full-blown diabetes now or later. And from what I know now, it's really good that you've been alert
ed to what your blood sugar readings are so you do not have to live with diabetes complications now or later in life.
So, if I were you, I would still ask the doctor if you could try the diet and exercise routine first. You sound serious about
your health and I think you'd stick to it!
