Hi there,
Lately seems i am constantly checking my numbers and poking myself to see my numbers as they are not good,my fingers seem horrendous ,any suggestions .

also looking for reliable meter ,my meter is off -always error as blood is not enough ,something to do with strips which have exp -date of nov 2015.

should i get new meter

Hi cilly, I'm sorry you're having this problem. Why do you think your meter is off? If there is an error because of not enough blood, it probably not the meter. It sounds like you're not getting enough blood to fill the test strip. Maybe you need to adjust the lancet device or change the lancet (the point). I don't think the strips or the meter are the problems.

In any case there is a list of recommended meters from Consumers Reports from last fall in the Diabetes Resources at the top of our forum. Any of those on the list would be appropriate.

I hope you can get this resolved. Why do you think your numbers are not good? Are you on meds? What are you eating?

Hi cilly do you wipe your fingers before poking that can affect your results as for the meter you are going to have squeeze your fingers more to get more blood out as Lanie said it doesn't sound like a meter problem
