Hi, Y'all...
Oh, I'm sick! Eddie picked up a cold and has been very generous...he gave it to me. My fasting numbers had been high for the past week...I had not been eating any differently than I normally do and my glucose level would be no more than 104. Suddenly I was waking up to 115-120. This morning I awoke to a FBG of 133! Yikes! I am thinking the cold was brewing in my body causing my FBG to rise and now that I have a full-blown cold it's really high!
My appetite isn't good but I know I need to eat. I'm always confused when this happens...do I keep eating as I normally do or do I cut down really low on my carbs? I know I need my strength to battle this cold. I'm sixty-eight and don't want for it to develope into anything major.
Maybe I ask these same questions every time I have a cold...thank goodness I don't have many colds. I just feel confused as to what to do when this happens.
I had a slice of american cheese and a boiled egg for breakfast. I still feel kind of hungry but think I'll just drink plain, ole water.
Thanks for listening to me, Y'all. Have a blessed, safe Sunday...
Joni
