Welcome to HealingWell, Zbaby. I'm sorry about
those symptoms. You need to ask your doctor about
these symptoms. Have you talked to him? He needs to know about
the dizziness.
I'm not a doctor but I'm surprised you were put on three diabetes medications so soon without trying to see how the metformin worked with a change of diet. The food we eat has a direct influence on our blood sugar. If you are eating a lot of carbs like bread and other products made with flour, potatoes, rice and so on, your blood sugar will be very high. Normally, when you're newly diagnosed, you would cut down on these heavy carbs, eat more vegetables along with some protein, greens, etc., get some regular exercise and start the metformin.
What has your blood sugar readings been? In the morning when waking, before meals, after meals?
The quinapril is a good medication for high BP which also helps protect the kidneys. Both high blood pressure and diabetes can damage the kidneys. Maybe your dosage is too high. Do you know what your BP readings were before and what they are now?
Both high and low blood sugar and low blood pressure can cause dizziness so it's hard to say which medication (or the combination of all of them especially in such a short time) is causing the dizziness.
So, if I were you, I would call the prescribing doctor as soon as you can and tell him what's going on. Today, I would keep a record of your blood sugar and your blood pressure readings to show him. Also, with your blood sugar readings, write down what you're eating and doing.
Here is a site which has a lot of information about
blood sugar:
