QUIT STABBING YOURSELF, gently insert the needle. IT WORKS!

I too was taught to STAB the needle and about every 4th or 5th time it would hurt .

I saw the post a short while ago and then again tonight about being gentle when you take your shots .

I tried it and have been doing it that way ever since. I have to take 4 to 6 shots a day  and it has not hurt once.

I was taught the stab technique, too. I think it's so we will get past our fears and 'get it over with'. And Claire is soooooooo right about the hurt/bleed thing! I've learned that also, but I guess I just never thought to post it.

Another thing that works well for me is using my hips and fanny. I'm a pretty round little lady (Not beautiful-pretty, but sortof-pretty!) If I want to give my tummy a rest I march into the bathroom and using the mirror locate a nice chubby spot by tightening up my glutes and looking for softness over it. Lots of bacon there to aim for! I do the easy slide in of the needle and don't worry if it doesn't go in all the way straight. Had great luck with the buttocks! I just knew that pudgie behind of mine was good for something!
