Wow! I have lost 50 lbs in one year eating a very low carb diet and now my A1C is 5.9. I can no longer take insulin because it lowers my blood glucose too much. I am happy but very scared about
gaining the weight back. Wish me luck!

That is fantastic news! Yes, losing all the weight changes the specific needs for diabetes medication. I'm so happy for you! Remember though that if you start eating more carbs your blood sugar will rise. (I know you know that. )
