Update on Amanda

Amanda went to see the endo on Monday.  I got the surprise of my life to find out she was seeing the same person in diabetes clinic that I saw when I was a kid.  It was even more shocking to discover she remembered me!  Anyway, Amanda's a1c was 5.1!  She has lost ten pounds.  Her meter was not giving very accurate results though.  We called the manufacturer and a new meter and replacement strips are on the way. 

You are an amazing mom to take all this in stride and pass that confidence on to your daughter. I was especially impressed with the way to were alert to her problems before anyone else was. Kudos to you both!
