SUDO SEIZURES

I am new to this form but am so glad to find other people with commonalities.  I have a son who is 29 years old and was diagnosed with epilepsy about 8 years ago.  He was a thriving healthy young man with a great future and "BAM" all was lost.  He is currently in the hospital after having back to back seizures, "Grand Mall seizures" for 3 days then he started to have a different kind of seizure.  His body would start to twitch and he would not be able to open his eyes and then his whole body would shake not like the Grand Mall but as if some one was shaking him; his armes move up and down and right after the shaking would stop he would be alert and talk to us just fine not like the Grand Mall when he is out of it for at least 45 min to an hour.  I know my son is depressed and he really needs people to talk to but the epilepsy foundation only has support group meetings once a month and he really needs to feel like he is worth something.  He needs to find his purpose and I feel that being his mother I should be able to help him with this.  When he gets out of the hospital I'm going to have him register on this chat site so maybe y'all can help him.  Any advise you can give is greatly appreciated and just knowing there are others out there with the same issues is comforting.

Thank you Carla for that warm welcome;  I think they might release him today.  I'm just waiting for a phone call from the Doctor or my Son.  I told him about this chat room and he is all for it.  Being a mother of a child (29 yr old Son) with Epilepsy is very hard to cope with at times.  I really want to fix it and I find I have no control over it.  He is smart, funny, handsome, and talented in so many areas but at the same time he has no job, no girlfriend, and at this time he has no friends.  My heart hurts to see him so lonely.  He is my oldest child, I have a 27 yr old daughter, a 15 yr old son, and an 11 yr old son who all keep me going even when I want to give up and sulk.  Thanks again Carla
