I dont know much about chinese medicine but I am in contact with a chinese girl on another board and this post might be of some use to you:

Good morning, This is my first time on healingwell.com so forgive me if I do things wrong. I too am looking for alternative medicine (not medication) to help control my seizures. Has anyone used acupuncture, and how do you feel about it? I also saw an advertisement and will ask my Dr. about it but he always seems to discourage anything that is alternative than drugs. I am tired of being a zombie and want to take my life back. I have had seizures most of my life, I am 52 and have been on most of all the drugs you can be on with no success. They won't operate on me, to risky so they put a "Vegas Nerve Implant" in me in 2001 which wasn't successful for me. It is successful for many people though; don't get me wrong. I have been having an increase in seizures for the last 2 yrs. (8-12 complex partial/mo.) I believe that I am going through menopause and that is causing me to have more seizures. Just like when I started my period when I was 9 yrs. old I stopped having them until I was in my 20's. Is there any other woman going through the same experience? What irritates me is my male Dr.s seem to discount my belief. I believe we know our own bodies, and we pay them to listen and help us. Perhaps someone can help me? Thank you Sharon
