Has anyone else had these results happen?

 I went into my hospital for a oh nuts what do you call them? A long term observed EEG last Monday. I was there all week long and didn't have a single seizure! I sleep deprived myself for 3 nights. Out of three days I only had 51/2 hours sleep I was really starting to drag the last day. I am a person that doesn't require much sleep. My neuro said there were some episodes which I don't know what that means and we have a huge language barrier between us so it is difficult to lash out meanings of some things unless he brings along a student. I really like him very much and he is very well respected in his field, there is just a little language issue. He did tell me that when I went home not to be surprised if I had seizures again because I had been off meds, was exhausted, and was returning to normal environment. He said it happened frequently. The first night home I was okay although I felt like I had been beat I was so tired. The second day was Sunday and we were going to move cattle I think. My husband went up the road to do some errand, and while he was gone I leaned back in my recliner and my warning hit me, a odd numb feeling in my mouth. Its okay I told myself you were warned you would probably have a seizure or two. Normal seizures for me are a few hand twitches and I stare off into space ignoring everyone for a minute or two and then it is all over and I am sleepy. Not this one.  I started to twitch on both right and left at the same time arms and legs. Then the weirdest my shoulders joined in, then my torso my facial muscles, it wouldn't stop very vigourous,it started at 8:30 and my husband still hadn't returned by 9:oo. I began to wonder if I should call 911. Finally at 8:45 he showed up and I had him take me to the hospital for a shot of ativan to stop it all. We had a hard time getting to the car my legs were so wonky. The ativan was a huge blessing. My question is what kind of seizure did I have anyone want to venture a guess?  I never lost consciousness and could answere questions at the hospital. I was never incontinint although I kept having to go to the bathroom frequently during the seizure, both bladder and bowel. I slept about two hours after the ativan at the hospital. Today I feel as though I am sort of on the edge of a seizure several times but I go and lay down and go to sleep almost right away and when I wake up its better for a while. Will it keep happening ? or is it just because of the stress of the failed EEG week and being off meds for a short time?  Please give me some input. Manthe

  I have had similar seizures to what you just experienced, my neuro calls them tonic-clonic and I call them Grand Mal seizures. I normally have complex partial seizures where my facial muscles twitch. You know,my eyelids blink my nose sometimes twitches my lips twitch and my head sometimes moves up and down and sometimes it gets bigger, the seizure that is. I also have a bottle of Ativan that my neuro prescribed. Going to the bathroom either before or after is also a normal thing with me as well as running a low grade fever and my appetite going elsewhere until the next day or so. I also have had 2 video EEG's as well . I think it is a fairly common  thing for seizures to be caused by stress so that could be it or the tiredness.
