I know this is a little off topic, but not completely.  I am having surgery today to remove my tonsils (had strep one too many times last year).  I hope I don't have a seizure under anesthesia, the doctor seems very worried about this.  Has anyone else had this before?  Anyway, please think of me this afternoon, I would appreciate it!!

Good luck! hope everything goes well! I did experience having a Tonic Clonic after having my wisdom teeth out but it was probably because of the pain meds, it didn't happen till the day after the seizure. I guess make sure you know what meds they put you on because I didn't realize I couldn't be on Coden until then. Hope that helps! ~Jessica

Just wanted to let you all know the surgery went off without a hitch.  The surgeon took extra precaution and kept me in ICU overnight to make sure that there were no complications afterward.  I am going back to him for a follow up on Monday and he will let me know then if I can go back to work that day.  I am about to go stir crazy sitting at home.  Just wanted to say thanks for your thoughts and concerns last week, I appreciate it very much.

Christie, glad to hear everything went well and you Dr. put you in ICU to be on the safe side. Sounds like a good Dr. I had my tonsils out when I was 17 and boy did it stink... it will all be over soon and you will be much healthier. Best of luck during your recovery. Tracy

Glad you are doing so well!  Hope you got to have ice cream as part of your recovery.  ( I've have 4 surgeries in my life and they always gave me Dilantin and valium in my IV to make sure there weren't any surprise seizures).  I always felt like I DESERVED chocolate after each one!
