Hi....My name is Deena......

I was told on June 16th that I have CPS.... it was a shock..... I was told for the last 2 years that it was tremors and not to worry about them because it was from too much caffine or not enough caffine.... well SUPRISE the neurologist said he seen the seuzier ( spelledwrong)  in the brain wave test thingy that he did.  well I am on Keppar 250mg 2x a day.  Now with all that being said I am SO confused... If i dont the meds when I am supposed to i get anxious, seems like i cant sit still, aggravated, confused... i feel like nobody is listening to me.... because i can talk loud.... to me this does not seem like a seuizer it just seems like i am going insaine with noway out.  does any body eles feel like this?  i am also on Cymbalta 30 mg... what is my problem?  could the dr be wrong? i looked on this forum board and i see where people black out, and things like that... I need to find some information on this CPS because if i dont i just might go insaine.  if anyone has any information for me please let me know.

Hi Deena,
I have complex partial seizures too and have had LOTS of anxiety. I recently started Keppra and it seems to have helped reduce anxiety. However, I just wanted to say I don't think you are going insane. I think epilepsy and anxiety often go hand in hand. Good luck with everything.

Thank you, I think since this is very new to me i just need to try and understand exactly what is going on with me. Thanks again for the kind words.

Hi my daughter was diagnosed with cps in Dec 2011, she was taking lamictal but it may have caused Lupus. she is on Keppra now for the last few weeks and is having some of the same symptoms.

We have not been given any information either regarding epilepsy, we have been doing a lot of on line searches. We are now changing dr's becasue we feel that a good patient is educated. The more we know the better we can help ourselves. Im feeling very disheartened that dr's who are supposed to be supportive are not interested in given that support
