Hi there I think the medicine you might be trying to spell out is ethosuximide, generic for zurontin. My daughter was diagnosed this passed november, and has been doing quite well on medicines, with a few hiccups allong the way. the first medicine she was on before the ethosuximide was valproic acid, wich seemed to do the trick though she was getting really bad headaches, and feeling realy tired, so her Dr switched her over, we have been told that sometimes the Drs have to switch around meds until they can find the right one. What really helped us get a better understanding of this was being refered to a Pediatric Nurologist. he has told us that most kids will eventually grow out of them, although some will eventually end up with grand mal seizures wich are the really bad ones, though I think it is a really small percentage. I hope this has been of some relief for you. if you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.
