I know TEA is very rare, but if anyone out there had it, let me know what medication you are taking to suppress it!

I trust you mean amnesia that persists after the seizure, I believe the term is post-ictal. I have it during a seizure but the memories return afterward.

I have TEA and have been taking lamotrigine for the for close two three years now and it is the only thing that has worked. I have a difficult time remembering to actually take my meds, so I am taking the extended release 200mg 3x daily. Since we increased to this dosage, I have only had one episode.

Just curious - when were you diagnosed? It is super uncommon, I even had a difficult time convincing my doctor my amnesia episodes were this syndrome.

I have grand mal epilepsy, well controlled, but the blackout time never returns to my memory. For at least a few minutes before and well after, 2-3 hours are GONE. Made me nuts because I wanted to recall and it was a black hole. Nothing I can do so try and focus on what my brain will recall. good luck, stay safe
