My seizures were/are not much more than memory loss. I have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, often called TLE. The loss, in my case, is short term, but memory issues in association with seizures is well known.
www.epilepsy.com/node/842674Another issue may be preoccupation, this causes anxiety sufferers to have memory issues. As has been explained to me, we only have a certain amount of working memory. When that memory is occupied with distractions, it's not available for day to day stuff. With her recent unexpected seizure, she may unconsciously be preoccupied with it, and not forming more routine memories as well.
Hope all went well at the doctors.
