Good Morning All. I am new to the board and wanted to say hello,and introduce myself. My name is Elisabeth, and I have epilepsy. My seizures are peti, gran-mal as well as myclonic.

I look forward to jumping on board and sharing in chats, as well as the forums. Until then, everyone have a great day and I will see you later.

Hi Elisabeth,

I was only recently diagnosed too, back in March, and it has helped me to read the stories and experiences here, and I know that there is a lot of support here, so feel welcome. :)

Hello All! Thanks for the warm welcome. I am 41 have had JME sine I was in late teens, but did not get confirmation of this until 2000 when I went into status and ended up in ICU . I am married, have a lovely son who is 11 and he is very supportive and thoughtful of my seizure disorder. I am currently  taking 500 mg of Dilantin, 200mg of topamax daily. I live in Alabama and really and not to impressed with the Kirklin Clinic (U.A.B Hospital) I am really glad I have stumbled onto this site due to most of my life

I have had to minimize and apologize for my seizure disorder. ( I am sure all can agree) I do look forward to meeting you all through this forum. Again, Thanks for such a warm welcome.
