My 3 year old grandson is in Children's hospital in an induced coma as the result of status epilepticus. He seized for hours while being life-flighted here. As they attempt to safely bring him from his coma, I immediately was aware of XL-spikes. The Neuro said in a vernacular that they are already appearing "angry"--meaning that seizures may develop soon.
I am curious though as to the label "XL-event".
Does anyone know what the criteria is to become an XL-event?
Thanks in advance.
