well im on dilantin and i got some issues unclear really except the swollen gums but i dont know if im taking the new or the old but i do remmeber sometime they said they look different from now on. im starting to believe its bad for me and i think they just want to get as many people to take it as they can because haveing a sezuire ot two is a really god way to get people to take some drug to help! this sounds crazy because it is but unlessyoure sezuires are chronic they are probably triggered by many things put out there to cause them on the public, flouride dont beleive me do the research do you have unflouridated water?because if you dont then you cook with it and everything you eat has it in it and it causes sezuires....aspartame do you occassionally chew gum or share someones diet drink? it causes sezuires and also msg. look at the facts you eat dilantin pills daily whats in it? what action does it have? unknown its really old and its bad and theyre still using it when theres other stuff

apparently the absorption rate canges wen you eat before or after taking meds, i personally cant take on a empty stomach because the kaps stick to the stomach wall and sometimes stay there all day very uncomfortable...why is it so hard to find out why and what was changed here

The sickest part of this is that we were not informed in advance so that we could change medications safely. Some people are still enduring dangerous med changes. No one would sign up for that voluntarily, it’s a horrible and terrifying experience.

Equally sick is that our doctors wrote No Substitutions on our prescriptions… which caused us to get this new formula of Dilantin, because Pfizer saw fit to keep the same name for it’s altered formula.

We have been told over and over that it is the same medication. And it is still phenytoin, but the NMP and the difference in excipients caused the dissolution to be different. Which is indeed the argument against generics. Dilantin is now nothing better than a generic with a brand name.

I have been on the old Dilantin for many years and have not had any seziures.I have had a lot of the old Dilantin(Parke-Davis 100mg kapseals) on hand because I was able to cut down to one or two a day.I am now getting close to running out of the old Dilantin. I have tried the generic and the new Diantin and have had problems with both. I have not had a seziure with either, but I ache between my shoulders and that is how I could tell I had seziure coming on.I think if I started taking the new Dilantin or the generic everyday,I would end up having a seziure.Pfizer said the formula is still the same,just a different look.Bull! If the formula was the same, people wouldn't be having problems.I have heard that Pfizer put Aspartame in this new Dilantin.Aspartame causes seziures in people who don't have Epilepsy.I have no proof that Pfizer is adding Aspartame in this new Dilantin, but why are people having seziures who have been seziure free for 10-20 years while taking the old Dilantin? Taking the New Dilantin or the generic causes problems for me,what willI do when I run out of the old Dilantin?
