17yr old daughter faints during period... please help

Hello I have 17 year old daughter that started fainting. Her mri, ct, eeg, ekg all came back normal. It only, the fainting, seems to happen when she is on or starting her period. The doctor in the ER wanted start her on seizure meds, but my husband said no. So took her to the gyno doctor and she started her on low hormone birth control. Anyone out their seen this kind of problem before.

I have heard of this before so you are not on your own. My sister had problems with it and changing the birth control pill seemed to solve the problem pretty much.

Has anyone checked her blood pressure? I dont know whether they check that on an ECG or not. If it is only when she is having a period, I would be tempted to look at hormones first (after blood pressure). Hormones can affect all sorts of different things including brain chemistry. I think the best thing to do would be to get a blood sample analysed and check the hormone levels and look for abnormalities there.
