Can anyone let me know what foods are the best to eat when one has type 2 diabetes? My aunt is 90 years old with no children and Uncle George passed away in 2002. She lived about
an hour away and I didn't see her that much or know that much about
her. In 2005 she auctioned off her house and moved to an assisted living residents. This is when her memory started fading. The home would call me up because of medicine changes and that they couldn't get in touch with the other family member that was to be taking care of her. The home suggested that I become her medical POA since I was the only family member taking care of her so I did. This is why I am asking this question. I don't know that much about
diabetes and I got on a web site and when I asked this question they wanted me to buy a monitor. I don't understand carb counting so I am totally confused. She is on glyberide and seems to be doing ok but the home I moved her to doesn't have a diatision and doesn't have sugar free food as deserts. Thank you for your time I just need a little help.
