Hi, I had a grand mal seizure at the end of October. Since then, I have been having auras during the day after or during naps. I am on 2000mg of a drug called keppra...actually my insurance plan recently changed to a generic -- lev[something].
The area where my brain cancer IS has been stable since my last resection in 2005 as was the case with my last MRI.
So, could someone help to explain the new seizure and aura thresholds/episodes?
It is hard to explain an aura I just feel terrified when they occur and want at all costs to avoid having another grand mal siezure.
Not sure what is worse, having a grand mal seizure at night and waking up in a different area of your room in your own 'fluids', or having one when you are awake and knowing you are in one and then passing out; which was the case this past October.
Can one develop a tolerance to a seizure medication? My choices are limited due to the fact that I have problems with my liver. Depakote, dilantin and anything that is processed mainly through the liver are out.
Why else could I be having this sudden onset of auras and siezures?
many thanks
And for some reason they occur mainly during the day during or after a nap.
