Since i am rather new to this forum, I was wondering if the readers would take a minute and tell us what type of seizure disorder they are suffering from. I do have myoclonus, but my major problem in a rare neurodegenerative brain disorder called Multiple System Atrophy (basically brain rot that affect muscles)-I sort falls betwenn ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Since a brain transplant in out of the question, I'm trying to keep what I brain matter I have around for the longest period of time. Like the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz--If I only had a brain.

I had complex partial seizures for over 25 years before having brain surgery to remove scar tissue from the right side of my brain. I have been seizure Free now since 2002. Only had a few brief auras after the brain surgery. Wishing you the best!

mine is a "refractory temporal lobe epilepsy probably" though it tends to spread into other/entire lobes.
it wasn't obvious as to what it was to begin with since I was much younger. like the above poster, it's probably a scar tissue in the brain. I had suffered over a number of decades before it became much clearer as to what it was and diagnosed.
cheers.

I had "benign rolandic epilepsy". I had my first seizure at 9 and only had them for five or six years. I got an EEG a few years back and my neurologist said I'm seizure free!
Definitely a blessing!
