My husband has mild temporal lobe epilepsy. He has had this since childhood. The seizures can manifest as an upward roll of his eyes; or rubbing his nose with two fingers of each hand or his elbow jerks up. He used to mumble numbers but doesn't do that anymore. He also used to go blank for a few seconds but doesn't do that anymore either (eyes stare straight ahead but nothing there). Now he bites everything before he uses it. Bites the tines of the fork. Bites the car keys. Anything shiny, he has to bite it (like biting and tapping his teeth). This is totally new. Lately he has been very tired all of the time. He has always had night terrors but now he is not sleeping more than two hours before waking up...not with night terrors...just waking up. He is very tired as he works 12 hours per day but now can't get any restful sleep. What is worrisome is now he is complaining of not feeling well and his left ear is numb and has numbness and tingling from his ear to his where his chin starts on the left side (he is left hand dominant). It is also affecting "a little bit in my left eye" according to him. I am worried. It is very difficult to get him to see a doctor. Is this something that I should put my foot down about, or should I let it go.
