For four years now, I've suffered from some sort of seizure attacks in which I lay down, my entire body shakes violently, and I have to close my eyes, groaning or screaming from the electrical currents of pain coursing throughout my body. I am sometimes aware of what's going on in the world around me, others, my mind is elsewhere. I occasionally suffer fainting spells and dizziness. I have other health problems, but this is the most concerning. Four years ago, a doctor I no longer see put me on Prozac, (Fluoxetine,) a anti-depressant. He only put me on it for pms, and, well, I'm a bit more over-weight than your average American female. I'm 17, and still, have not lost any weight using this drug. I believe it may be causing my seizures and some other side-effects I am experiencing, because I looked it up on-line, and it said it could cause every side-effect I have, including seizures. Also, my right arm became numb when not being used and will hurt when I use it to write and etc. ever since I started the Prozac. If I over-use my arm, it freezes up, and either it shakes by itself, or I have a full-blown seizure. Is there anyone out there who knows about
Prozac, is on Prozac, or has gone off it and experienced these side-effects? The doctors are claiming my seizures are non-epileptic and are "pseudo", or fake, because nothing shows up on my sleep studies. I am frustrated with this, because I am a very relaxed person, not stressed like your typical "pseudo seizure" sufferer. I had one in bed last night that lasted five minutes, but paralyzed me for twenty minutes. I managed to just barely walk to my bed room door and call for someone to come see about
me. My mother thought it was odd I had one, laying down, completely relaxed, in bed, and I agree. So, please, can anyone help me? I'm going crazy and suffering in silence from these seizures! I would like any help or advice at all! Thank you!-L.M., or seizure girl
