Hi! I am getting ready to go for the MRI that the EPI Clinic schedule for me. Needless to say I am a little nervous.I raed what the place sent me and they said it takes 48 hours to read but the EPI Clinic said it takes about a month for them. So I am cofused. I quess in the brain when they are looking for certain things it may take longer.Or they get the results and if it can wait untill March they wait or call me for an earllier appt. I don't know but I don't wnat to call and bother them when I get home. Just needed to vent. Thanks For Listening. Mary

Mary, Hoping the MRI goes well for you!! My son hates them with a passion, but my daughter kind of liked it. I do not know why they say it would take a month. They might have a certain protocol they follow to have several doctors read it? Who knows. I would say give it the time the doctor says. If they need to they will call sooner, I am sure...

Waiting is always so hard whaen you have seizure going on all the time. The MRI was not bad. The man doing it told me to take a nap. Right with all that noise a nap would of been just the thing. But i will wait. I sure if it is anything they don't already know they will call me sooner. I just want theses seisures to be more predictable. But you can't always get what you want. I have been doing alot of praying. The seizures might not change but at least I know God will give me the tools I need to deal with them. That is comforting me for now. Thanks. Mary

Good that it was not too bad! Yes I do not think I could nap in one either. My son never could unless medicated. Hoping you get results soon!

I'm glad the MRI went well. I always got to listen to music when i had them and i'm not a big napper so i just kind of layed there. I hope everything turns out okay! ~Jessica

Mary,

Have you had a 'sleep deprived' MRI done yet? They're a laugh. You're supposed to fall asleep while they do the thing, don't ask me why. And to help you drop off, you're not supposed to get any sleep the night before. Needless to say, I did fall asleep and so the whole episode was pointless. But it was an experience.
