tonic clonic last night... anyone have suggestions about pain

hey guys, well all the complaining ive done about not knowing whats wrong and trying to convince the drs that something is going on has been a waste of time lol. last night, i had a generalized tonic clonic seizure. its the second one i have ever had but im in a lot of pain. My chest feels likei swallowed a lot of salt water, my muscles ache like i have just pulled every single muscle i have, and i bit my tongue really badly on both sides. does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the pain? scool

hi anna, have you had an EEG? after several more seizures, i was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. you may want to ask your dr about a video EEG or a 24 hour EEG because your back may be hurting you if you are having night time seizures. If not, try meditating, i know it sounds stupid but it might help. did you get a ct scan and an mri? of your back? try seeing another dr. not just a neuro because you might have torn a muscle. good luck and let me know if you find out anything

Hey Im a 33 yr old male, and ive had epilepsy all my life, what works for me is i take 500 mg of magnesium a day, this will help your muscles to relax a bit and not be so sore. and also ive found its helped with my muscle spasms as well. Hope i could be of help.
