I was just reading about the difference between men and women and how they deal with stress. When they were polled, men said to reduce stress they engaged in some kind of physical sport such as running, basketball, biking, skiing, etc. Women reduced stress by... talking to close friends and family!
So that's pretty much what I do. I agree also with AmandaJane about friends and yoga. Yoga is supposed to reduce stress. I am going to try it. I also think taking a walk by myself helps me to relax.
Also, you just can't control certain things. That sucks out a lot of emotional energy. Go with the flow!
