Hi everyone..!
when my daughter was 3 years old she was attacked by virus which results in
febrile seizure and after that she has an epileptic episodes.Through brain imaging
doctors get to know that there are infarcts in right parietal lobe and ganglionic
region she has simple absence epilepsy , presently she's on depakene but due to
some memory side effect we want to change her medicine now docter prescribed
lamictal.I want to discuss about ethosuximide I really heard about this medicine
but I want to know that it works same for absence epilepsy generated from dead
tissue (infarct in parietal lobe) as it works for idiopathic epilepsy.Actually
I am afraid of doctors are experimenting untill they get right medicine.
Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated...
thanks
