I can definitely relate to most of your symptoms. I cant say whether or not it can be blamed on the concussion, but I can say that these are likely seizures. My seizures would either make me freeze up, or just zone out. For the more controlled ones when I just zoned out, everything would seem like deja vu to me and I would get extremely nauseous. It always felt like there were triggers because of the deja vu making it seem like I had seen that item before, but in reality that is just the memory section of the brain malfunctioning and thinking that it has seen it before.
Seizure disorders are definitely connected to memory problems, not every day, but in general. I don't know about having a bad short term memory every day being related or not, but I definitely have memory issues in general.
My seizures usually took 10 to 15 minutes, and I often stopped making new memories, so it was a lot like blacking out. People have told me that my eyes get really glassy and I can still answer yes or no questions, but I can't process all that much. After my seizures, I always got really tired, like more tired than any amount of exercise or activeness can do to me.
Epilepsy is definitely something that you need to see a professional about, rather than relying on other people's opinions online. I assume you have, but if not this is something to consider seeing a neurologist about.
