Seizures Are Gone

Hi Everyone,

  I just have a question. I started having seizures the end of Feb this year. They were real bad for about 3 months, then started slowing down and getting less frequent. Now I have not had a seizure of any kind in almost almost a month. I have been of my seizure meds for that long as well.

  I don't understand how they can just stop all of a sudden. Does anyone else have any ideas about this?? Thanks in advance for you help. Take care.

No real evidence, but they can just stop. I know my son has had periods of time up to 2 months where he had none even off medication. I have a friend who had them for just a short time after a chronic lyme flareup. Hers were not medicated because her doctor felt it was not a continuing problem.

I sure hope it was just a transient problem for you and they are indeed gone for good! has anything else changed? Did you change any other meds that might have lowered the threshold when they started? Any severe stress or illnesses that might have caused them for a time?

   I appreciate your advice on this matter. I do have lupus, RA, Fibro and possible MS along with some other things.

   I too hope they are gone for good. Maybe it was one of the other diseases causing the seizures during a flare.
