hi there I have had brain surgery been threw all the tests etc. I am now on no meds the seizures are just on off sort of ones. I had this all done in 1991. They have had me on all the meds you can think of. The drs now want to put me back in to see if they can do anything elese my answer is no. They told me after the operation they did what they could do, and hopefuly you can live your life to the fullest.
Now what am I suppose to do. I really dont want to go back in go threw all the crap again and be treated like a gunnie pig which i feel like i am.

I think A lot of my problems also is my girlfriend that lives with me she has bipoloar which is under control, but the problem is her moods change like channels on your tv lol. she says its not me you change me.
I cant say the wrong word meaning those kids overe there look so cold she would take that the wrong way. That also sets my seizures off. with her raiseing the voice etc.

I do think going to the hospital yes would be like a break kind of like a vacation away from her. But why should I have to go in when Im just wasting the drs time when theres nothing they can really do for this sistuation with my seizures . let me know anyone what you think. Thank so much.....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying you had the brain surgery and you are STILL having seizures? Are they slight seizures that occur at least once a month? With this being the year 2015 verses the year 1991- I'd say 2015 has more specialized equipment for seizures with better hospitals that are specialized for Epilepsy patients and more medicines to choose from than ever before. I went cold turkey for about 4 years without any medicines for my seizures. It's not worth it. You and I both know the side effects of those mean, hateful seizures that sneak up on you unexpectedly. If you have a girlfriend and kids, you want to be comfortable too. Are you comfortable? By going to a specialized hospital, not just a plain old hospital around the corner, but a hospital with at least a 4 star rating would be worth your time and money. There's so much technology here now on epilepsy, the hospital needs you to go see if it will cure you too. I've been a guinea pig for 17 years on every medication they have come up with to find a cure for seizures that occur during the menstrual cycle. No success. I'm a good candidate for brain surgery now. I'll be on a waiting list soon. I didn't give up. So don't you give up either.
