Mini-Mal seizures

A teacher friend of mine commented that a student in her building had recently had a "mini-mal" (no line break there) seizure. I've been through everything I have one seizures -- old and new -- and I can't find anything. Apparently this child had two or three of these episodes in a short period of time, and the child didn't breathe. Any thoughts, anyone?

No, I asked her the same thing, and she said, "not a petit mal, because these things lasted between 45 and 90 seconds." (That's the duration of my partials.) I almost thought status epilepticus, because the child had two or three back to back. Can you have SE with partials? This was the first time the child had had seizures, 9-1-1 was called and taken to the hospital, but the child was released within hours.
