My 8 year old son was recently diagnosed with a genetic disorder (15q13.3 microdeletion syndrome) that gives him at least a 25% chance of developing epilepsy. He had a sleep deprived EEG done on Friday and we are still waiting for the results. The day before the EEG he told me that he had something weird happen to him sometimes. He has problems expressing himself so it took a while for him to explain it.
He said that sometimes his head feels like it's quickly moving off to the right side but his head is not moving. It doesn't sound like it lasts more than a few seconds and during this time his vision is either blurry or he can only see white. He knows it has been happening this year and last year. He can't explain how often it occurs.
Does this sound familiar to anybody? I'm not even sure how accurate his description is since he's not very good with language.
