Hello again TurtleGirl,
I did partially touch on this in a previous thread of yours (work), so you might want to check that one as well. There is a bit more information on this one though.
I get the impression that you live away from your parents. I lived in University Halls for a year where there were 7 other people in our 'flat' and I now live with 3 of them in a house. I had epilepsy long before I went to University so I had had plenty of time to adjust to it myself. If it is new for you then it makes it a bit more difficult. For me, the first conversation was quite a serious one. Probably because I was very nervous about telling them. (It had been so long since I had had to tell anyone!). It was quite a long conversation and it was full of questions for me to answer. After that, it was much more casual. I think it is important to tell them, just incase you did have a seizure where they needed to do something for you. I dont feel that my friends worry excessively about me now they know, they are just better prepared if something happens. (Which it has!). How would your friends feel if you had a grand-mal seizure and they didnt know what was happening?
I hope this helps. Good Luck with this one
Darren
