what jobs is good for epilepsy person?

I have a friend who has eplipesy from about 9, fell down from a wall then got this.I want to know what kind of jobs that he can take?  he is now still in college, but needs a job to earn some money. but most part time job takes a lot physical energy, like Pizza delivery .a porter etc.....is it suit for him?

It depends on what triggers his epilepsy. If he is affected by strobe lighting, for example, then I would say being a DJ is not a great idea. Aside from that, there are very few jobs that would be unsuitable. Just think about whether there is something that would cause a seizure or make it more likely. If he has seizures a lot and are uncontrolled then I would tell the employer and consider if he would get hurt in the job. For example, in a Pizza House there is a high chance of being burned. The employer would be the best person to advise you in that situation since he will have considered and health and safety risks.

His seizures seem to be controlled now, he has not had any seizures for 3 years more, but sometimes will feel dizzy if too late and without sleep for too long time. he seems to need good sleep.

but he is very skinny,because he is only allowed to take some special diets. so i m wondering if he can handle a lot jobs.

He should still be able to do many jobs. I would say that if he gets dizzy sometimes and is not particularly muscular then highly physical jobs (Such as shop warehouses etc...) are not the best idea. I would avoid jobs that involve late hours (Such as pub/club/bar work) and you may want to exclude machinery work if you feel that his dizziness would be an issue. Other than that, the worlds your oyster! There are loads of jobs out there from Supermarket Cashiers to Lawyers! The list is HUGE!

Yeah, I think it really depends on the type of seizures he's having.  I have simple partials that are just super annoying, but pose no threat or danger to me or anyone else.  Grand mal seizures are another thing entirely.

 

I guess it warrents some trial and error!  He should try something that interests him, and if it works out, then great!  If it doesn't, then he needs to try other things until one fits his situation.

I have done many fast paced jobs and I have epilepsy and have no problems so far.
