Hello everyone.
I am writing to your community from Russia, so sorry for my poor English. Hope you will understand me and I will find some help here.
I have epilepsy since 17, now I'm 23. I used to have 1-2 seizures a year and I felt good. I took drugs called Finlepsin(Karbomazepin) (I am not sure in English spelling of all the drugs, sorry) for 5,5 years. Then I had more seizures and I went to another doc who said that as I have absences and grand mals I can't take this drug, it does me bad. So I began taking Lamotrigine, 250mg/day, but in 5 months I had an allergy, red spots on my face, and seizures happened much more often. Now I am moving to Depakote(Depakin). I am taking it only 3 days, hadn't had a seizure still, but I am afraid that the drug is said to be very toxic for liver and I am terribly afraid to loose my hair.
Please tell me what drugs are usually prescribed in your country to people who have grand mals together with absences. My EEG shows 3 Gerz waves and epy activity in the left temple.
Thank you in advance.
