My daughter's first Neuro visit...and some questions

We went this past Thursday. The dr. gave us a full hour. She was very very interested in every little sign and symptom. She was a little insulting, though. She asked in a kind of nasty way if my daughter is doing drugs. At first she told her to stop giving her all these symptoms; she hates when kids her age come in because they give her all these silly unrelated symptoms. (jeeez) Several times I tried to tell her that my daughter may have had meningitis when she was 11-12, but she talked right over  me. Finally at the end of the hour, I got that bit of info in. She chastised me saying that this was the kind of info she needed--it was important. Yea, that I know. We were taken aback by her attitude at times, but she seemed so thorough and diligent that we are happy overall. She has decided to have my daughter do a VEEG for 3 days this week in the hospital to see what's going on. As she explained it, she is ruling out tumor, psychogenic causes, and partial seizures. She actually called me at work the next day to ask more questions. She seemed surprised that my daughter had hidden much of this from me for several years. I would guess that would go against psychogenic seizures, as I've read that most of those happen in front of other people and are mostly TCs. Anyone know if that's the case? Has anyone else had this kind of experience with a neuro? Also, how long does it take usually to get VEEG results back? Thanks!
