Good Morning Everyone
Lol I should almost say good afternoon as it is now after 11 am here. I finallyyyyyyy got some sleep!!! I turned the dang alarm off and said to heck with it and just let whatever time I got up be whatever. The question I have though,is, what is the optimum temps and weather conditions for a person with fibro? I know for me heat isn't great unless it's is in the 70-80 degree mark with little humidity. And stormy weather is out as is tons of rain because it makes my joints hurt terribly. The extreme cold sucks cause it makes my muscles tighten up so much I look and feel like the Hunchman. Someone mentioned not long ago to me that the fall is good but here in Washington state we get tons of rain so it is the clear slightly crisp days of fall?
Man it sure does seem limited lol. Our weather is all over the place right now. Ya can't base us on Seattle cause we are too far from that and we live out on the Olympic Peninsula and somewhat in a convergency zone, more like the twilight zone if ya ask me with extremes for all seasons. Today it is overcast. We got a lil rain yesterday, mostly a misty rain with a few showers and today just a heavy cloud cover that makes you feel like your suffocating. By tomorrow it is supposed to warm up again and be back in the high 80's by this weekend. I have actually takin advantage of some of the hot clear days to lay out in the sun. For some reason this year it isn't bothering me so much to be out there. Last year just walking around in the heat made me so sick. I do find the hot sun beating down on my sore joints feels pretty good and getting some color to me doesnt hurt either since I have been rather pasty the last few years.
I just want to be able to have a happy medium in the weather so I can feel consistantly one way or the other and know what to expect. Yesterday and today I swear every joint in my body feels swollen and tight. Last night my feet and anckles were aching something fierce but after I put on some of those really fluffy soft footie type socks I was able to go back to bed and have the pain better. Didnt think I would be pulling those out till winter. They were a constant companion to me last year as I hadnt started the Lyrica yet and my feet felt like ice blocks daily in the fall and winter and no matter what I did including having a space heater blasting on my lower legs and feet, they still hurt so bad and stayed so cold I wished I could cut them off and be done with it. That is the pain I am afraid of coming back. Anyways, how does the weather effect the rest of you? is it more of a group thing where we all feel about the same during certain weather conditions? Hope you all are having a good day or at least a tolerable one.
Soft Hug's,
Karen
