Boy, fibro breaks down our social inabitions doesn't it? rolleyes    I have been in another flare.  I had to go and stay with on of my adult daughter's recently while she was sick.  idea o sleep, being away from home, and not feeling the best to begin with sounds like a winning combination nono or a huge flare right?   skull

For the last 2 weeks, I have been in some bad hurt as my grannie would have put it!  My sore muscles are sore on top of being already sore.

The thing that had started at the beginning of this adventure I started having really sore breast.  It was even sore under my arm in the lymph nodes and all around the sides of my breast.  The thought of the shower hitting it was enough to make me try to run for the hills.

My PCP ruled out infection, gyn has felt no lumps, (waiting on the mammogram results) and it really isn't easing up much.  My PCP said I have to get SLEEP.........LOL..........how I wish!!!!  I will sleep for 2 or 3 hours and then be up.

I do have sleeping pills, but they do not always work either. 

Do any of you have the sore muscles in your chest?  Not costochondritis............I have that, but this pain is quite different.

Also do any of you feel as if your breast bone slips apart and hurts?

Thanks in advance.  I am going to go and lay down and count cats again and see if that works.  LOL  (won't work if my silly one starts biting my toes though.)  LOL

 First of all i am so sorry you are hurting like this and it is no fun... i get pain sometimes in my rib area and also my breasts are very sensitive like when i was pregnant but its all the time now i dont understand why. I know you are having something different because my glands arnt swollen at all and the pain hasnt been bad enough yet for me to go to the dr i just kinda thought it might be normal plus dont want to tell my dr about another pain lol i hope u find out what is wrong asap and let us know if u do ok have a good day and feel better as soon as u can

 

p.s. what exactly is sleep anyhow hehehe  eyes

Well....I found when I was in the grips of menopause, they hurt like I was "preggers again" rolleyes    You dont state your age, but could it be hormonal with you as well?  I guess once you get the results back from your mammogram you might have a better idea.  I dont remember (big surprise there eh? tongue ) if the soreness was under my arms or not.

smurf  ell, I can't say I have that problem, sorry no help there.

 

However I can tell you what sleep feels like, sad .  It's the kind where you go to bed and sleep all night, then wake up and feel like you haven't slept at all. An hour later, your sleeping again for another 2 hours because your too exhausted to keep your eyes open. You wake up again, by this time its lunch, so you eat... and guess what? Your tired again and back asleep. You wake up in time to cook supper (if hubby is lucky) and then before long, it's bed time.

 

Being exhuasted is just as bad as insomnia in my opinion. I used to have that when I had depression and boy was it just as bad too. You lay there praying for sleep. I don't know which is worse.

 

I certainly hope you feel better soon. I'm off to bed now. smurf

I'm so sorry your pain is intense and unremitting! I have lots of rib pain but not what you have. I wouldn't be surprised if it's fibro as those areas are full of muscle. Girls have pec's too...lol...and the breasts sit on top of those muscles. It's easy to see how they could be sore. Yes!  The left one especially, but that is the one they thought had a tumor and they kept making me go back for more mammograms and one time they squeezed me so hard I wanted to cry.  I have hurt ever since!  I thought maybe they broke something in there! 

Now I have this weird pain in my left thumb.  I have done nothing to cause it, yet it hurts all the time. 

I hope you feel better soon.

shakehead  Dont know if its the same but I have very tender breasts. Put it down to fibro but have decided to have mamagram in case.Its just tendernesss with me not intense pain as you have.  I havent heard of that so far but it doesnt surprise me as it moves everywhere. good luck , hope eases.               suez2  :-) :-) :-)

I have fibrocystic breast disease with lots of lumps in my breast. Menopause pretty much took care of it but I do still get sore breast once in awhile. But I also have costo which causes the chest wall to be sore and the outside of breast, under armpits, and inside, next to breast bone, to be sore. I think they are tender points even though they aren't on the chart. Wearing a bra is a torture device to me.

I also have the fibrocystic breast disease.  I got the results back from my mammogram and they were normal.  Praise the Lord for that!

Thankfully the soreness is getting better.  I still have some and my breast bone is very sore.  So I am not sure if the costochondritis is acting up, but that never made my breasts sore.  Maybe it was just along with a super bad fibro flare.

Since I am trying to be good about taking my supplemental vitamins and magnesium along with the new medications of vit D3 and Fosamax, hopefully I will get back in the swing of things soon.

I am not sleeping well at night again.  I do not like the sleeping pills.  My hubby and I are trying to have a nice cup of hot herbal tea before bed time.  Maybe that will work.  Who knows anymore.  I guess we need to learn to be more flexible and roll with the flares.  LOL

I also have fibrocystic changes. Man that hurts! But, mine begin to hurt about 2 wks before my cycle begins. As soon as the blood starts the breast pain and swelling stops.

I also get some bad pain under the arm on the ribcage and up into the breast. There is one spot that will make my arm and hand ache if I press on it when it acts up. That's when I figure it is trigger point related and head to the massage therapist (neuromuscular). she usually gets it worked out in a 30 min. session. Not sure if it's the same pain you're experiencing - but it sounds very familiar. Therapist says it is a common band of muscles that gets irritated - and when she first starts pressing those points it is extremely painful, but it gets much better afterward. I can usually identify something I've done/ been doing with my arms as the source - even knitting will be enough to set it in motion sometimes.

Very glad your mammo came back normal - always a relief! Hope the pain continues to lessen. I can't sleep these days either....full moon?
