Lauren,
Everyone handles pain differently, so if you really need something for pain, there's no need to "suck it up." If you really are hurting, then by all means, do what you need to do to stop hurting.
Also, I go to physical therapy, and my PT always ices my lower back after I finish with all the torture (I mean, exercises). When I asked her why I should use ice and not heat, she explained that heat is good for when you first wake up, to get that stiffness out, but after exercise, ice is better to prevent swelling. I am no expert at this, but I'm just telling you what my PT said, and for ME, it really helps. Anyway, I hope you feel better!
BTW-I can't remember if I've welcomed you or not, so welcome! LOL Sorry, with all the newbies and the fibro fog, I can't remember who I've welcomed and who I haven't. So, if I HAVE already welcomed you, welcome again! OK, yeah, sorry-I'm babbling. I'm a pro it.
Take care!
