amy,
haven't properly met you but congratulations!!!!! i could describe my pregnancies in great detail actually!!! my oldest is 5 and my younger son is 8 months old. my experience has been of severe nausea starting at right at the beginning, and ending around 14 weeks. even before i got a positive test...i just 'knew' i was pregnant-a feeling of my whole body relaxing....hormones. starting in my 5th month i was having contractions. the dr's all called it "irritable uterus" or integuemental sensitivity. on the upside of all those contraxions were excersizing me for birth, both sons born vaginally 2-3 pushes...no stitches. i agree that vaginal delivery is (unless there is a need to cut for baby or for mom), far superior to c-section. unless there is a impending health (even mental health) issue...the babies need as much time inside as possible. if you have any questions ask away i will answer anything. having my sons was the best thing that ever happened to me!

edited to reflect......i flared post partum both times. the best advice i have is to MAKE SURE you get your thyroid hormones checked post partum!! my flares were caused by lack of sleep, hypervigilance, and thyroid disorder. i bf my older didn't my younger and both are wonderful and happy and healthy.
