I had to find something that was comfortable but at the same time worked with all the new clothes that I had bought after losing 80 pounds. And for me they needed to be lightly restrictive so I wouldnt fall back into the sweat pants thing of not realizing that I was gaining weight. I ended up with bootcut low rise stretch jeans. The lower cut gets rid of that pressure pain I was getting in my low back and these have just 5% stretch to them and thats just enough for bending or sitting in them without binding. When I am done running around for the day I do put on my super comfy Victorias Secret mens style pj's. It's like thats my reward at the end of the day lol. It's just that I worked so hard to get down to a size 16 and I know even that's not all that small but for me it was a huge accomplishment. I love finally being able to fit into nicely cut blouses and jeans,it makes me feel good to finally get a few compliments even though I still dont quite know how to take a compliment even now without saying "oh thanks but naaaaaaaaaa" old habits are hard to break.
I had saved a few pairs of my sweats and had started wearing those during a few weeks I was dealing with the flu and a cold but sure enough I gained 5 pounds without that lil bit of tug at my waist to tell me enough is enough lol. But really I am pretty comfy in the low rise stretch jeans. I was wondering if they make them for men? my brother came over for his weekly visit and I noticed he was squirming alot in his high waisted reg jeans and he said they were not only digging into his back and hurting him but they were pinching in between his legs were ya dont want them pinching lol so I told him I'd check into if they made stretch jeans for men since he is in the same boat as me with losing weight and getting out of the sweats but still needed something that wouldnt hurt him. Lol by the way this is a great thread isnt it? Never realized so many ppl were having the same problem as me with the back pain from jeans. Everyone take care and have PFD (pain free day).
Soft Hug's,
Karen
