MOVING! FINALY!!!! waa hoo

alright- I FINALY got my closing date for the house! this has been a loooong time coming ( since august!) we close this friday, and move this weekend!! I slightly over did it yesterday with the errands and packing....and paid last night..BUT....for some reason I am feeling good as new this morning...it must be an excitement high...which I am hoping I can ride out until sunday...when we will be in the new house and I can finaly RELAX waaa hoo! I am so excited!

I'm so happy for you Kelly tongue I don't know why it is but when we are on an adrenaline high we feel better. Just don't over do it. Oh goody you get to take the bed back apart. Does the platform have drawers in it??? I think I would like something like that so I don't have to clean under the bed. smilewinkgrin

Marlee, you know what, i am NOT taking the darn bed back apart! its going in the back of a trailor and thats it.....!! it does not have drawers...but its all open, so if something is under it, it is very noticeable...so I won't be able to get away with kicking things under it :(

I had a bunch of friends ( strong man friends) offer to help us...so as long as they keep their word, I should not have to help with any of the heavy things! thank goodness! last time we moved it was just me and my husband...we did it...but it was not pretty!!

   Also, my aunt just told me she was getting me a cord of wood! yay! that is literally the best house warming gift!

 sometimes I still can't believe its actually happening...this was the first house we looked at...way back in May....

I guess I don't know what kind of bed your talking about. I was thinking like the base of a water bed without the sides. What good is it if you have to clean under it. turn I have decided all furniture is going that doesn't set flat on the floor or isn't high enough to get the sweeper under.

 

You will have so much fun decorating and making it yours.

 

What kind of puppy are you getting??? smilewinkgrin

eventually- probably this summer...maybe not until next year...we will get a puppy. I would really LOOVE a Shiloh Shepherd, but there are not many around here...they are pretty rare. they are basically a german shepherd, but bigger, and gentler. If we don't get a shiloh, we would probably get a Chinook, or maybe a mix ( shep. lab preferably!) from the shelter. I'd love to have one now, but our sched. are too crazy, and that just would not be fair.

I'm going to get back to packing now ;)

As a fellow recent mover, I literally feel your pain.  These past 10 days have been hell (physically, psychologically, etc).  If there's one thing I absolutely hate, it's moving.  I hate the smell of cardboard and the way it cuts up your hands.  I can still hear the screech of the tape coming off the roll in my dreams. sad

 

But, I also know how good it feels to have the weight of getting out of an old place off your shoulders.  I still don't feel like I live in SC, yet.  I feel like I'm visiting.  LOL-I've only been here 5 days!  Is that all?  Wow-living with my parents makes it seem much longer! rolleyes

Congratulations on your move!!  I remember when we moved into our home.  My kids were 1, 4 and 6 and everything was stressful and busy but oh so wonderful.  I was so excited to get into the house and start making it ours.  It has been 9 years and it is ours and I still love it. 

Let us know how everything goes!  I'm so excited for you  yeah  .

alright, today is the day! I sign my life away at 4:00. on the down side- I caught a cold!!!!! yuck! so yesterday I hit the healthfood store for lots of things to boost the immune system, and I even got a virus blocker....hopefully they work...I am not feeling TOO Horrible this morning.... I am hoping maybe my positive thought can help it go away...

 anyways... WIsh me luck! I'll be moving this weekend, and may not have internet acess for a few days.

ok/ I am in! mostly... I still have to clean the old apartment...and I am SO sick. so I called the landlord and told her I would do it by tuesday...and she got pissed! I have paid rent until the end of the month...so she has no right! but she told the new tenants they could move in on monday....b/c I thought we'd be all the way out sunday. AHh thats not nice of her to make me stress more!!

other than that.. I LOVE the new house ;)

Kelly if your rent is paid up til the end of the month I would think you have til the end of the month to clean. Do you have a receipt showing your paid up til the end of the month??? Don't let her stress you cause she wants double money for that apartment.

 

I knew you would over do it, I wouldn't have too moving into my first home. smilewinkgrin

thanks Marlee. I have a written notice that we all signed saying I would be out by the 31st, and paid rent until then. she really loves her money.... oh well
my cold is almost gone, so I think i'll try to clean when I am out of work, so I can wash my hands completely of this old apartment.
then... I will go home and take a bath in my nice new ( and quite large!) bath tub ;)

I honestly tried not to over do it ( ok, maybe I could have tried harder!) but its SO exciting!
I went to bed at 830 last night...and only woke up twice..slept until 6! yay!
