So thank you for the inspiration. After the thread on exercise, I stopped thinking about
gettign back into it, and I actually did it. 3 days later, and I feel so good! Let it be experience to me not to slip again. We are getting a treadmill from a family member who is getting rid of theirs, hopefully that will help too. I'm really excited to try running! I've been wanting to run since I quit smoking 5 years ago, but never found the time with the kids.
Speaking of kids, do you remember when I mentioned some concerns about
my 4 y/o dd? She was crying this afternoon saying her leg was hurting.
It did sound genuine, but she is very delicate. She scratched her throat on a chip last week and refused to eat for 5 days. She had a sliver in her foot this summer, I had to take her to the ER where it took 3 nurses to inject a medicine to put her to sleep to remove it. She does not have a very high pain tolerance! Anyway, I treated her with heat, and that seemed to do the trick.
Speaking of heat, that reminds me... (I thought the fog was better, but boy is my mind rambling tonight!)
I have some lavender in my garden I was thinking of drying for the smell. Do you think it would work if I put it in a rice bag? Can you imagine, that would be so nice! The heat of the rice bag plus the soothing smell of lavender. Hmmm, I think I need a bath tonight.
Oh, and I got a backrub last night (from dh)!
Wow, it felt so good. I was actually crying because I haven't been able to have my back touched since last May. I felt so relaxed, I was like Jello. But then he touched one of the tender points, and I tensed right up. He coulnd't touch me anywhere after that without me hurting. The poor guy felt so bad! He kept apologizing. I told him it was ok, he couldn't know where it hurt. He said he sure did, and lightly touched it. Even then I just about
hit the roof. That makes me scared to try physio. Now that things are calmer here I was going to make time to go. But what on earth could they do, if they can't touch me? Dh had to rub my neck and shoulders to get me really relaxed before he coudl go anywhere near my shoulder blades.
I have to go get the baths ready. I'll try to get back later and reply to some posts
Wishing you all well. (((HUGS)))
