Terrie,
I have some yoga stuff you can try at home. It's the flexibility series I learned at Michigan State University a few years back. No weird poses or strange postures. Just movements that enhance the flexibility of your joints. This was originally designed for arthritics. The only modifications that you have to make for fibro is to
1] Take a mild pain reliever like Tylenol about
20 minutes before beginning for the first few times
2] Only do 3 or 4 repetitions of the movements for the first few weeks until you get more limber
3] Follow up with a large glass of water, nice hot shower and one more glass of water
Don't try to get through the whole series the first time. Take your time, rest whenever you want and be sure to finish up with a complete relaxed rest. Oh, and if you don't have a yoga pad a couple of thick beach towels on the living room carpet will do.

Yoga Flexibility SeriesI'd recommend printing it out and doing it little by little. When I stick with my yoga it makes me feel all sparklie inside... Can't really explain it other than it seems to have a renewing effect on me. After the once a week for 6 weeks class was finished my hubby asked if I could find another one. He said it made me happier! So that's why I keep doing it.
