Welcome, Patsie, to the fibromyalgia forum! I'm sorry to have to meet you this way but I'm so glad you found us and have joined in. You couldn't be in a better place! We have wonderful people with great ideas to help you live a full and einjoyable life with fibro.
I see that Danielle has directed you to the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum. There are links in there to all sorts of good info about fibromyalgia. You will find symptoms, good stretching exercises that really do help, and also a link to malic acid/magnesium supplements. I started taking these last year and they have helped me with pain and fatigue. They don't help everyone though. But, read about them and see what you think!
Try hot showers and moist heat. They really do help. Some have Bed Buddies that you heat in the microwave and give off moist heat. You can also make one with a tube sock that you fill 2/3's full of long grain rice (not instant) and then tie a knot on the end. You can microwave this and it will give off moist heat like the Bed Buddy does.
Don't hesitate to ask questions. That's why we are here! We like helping each other and, as a bonus, we really to care about each other, too! So join in. We will help you and have a few laughs in the process. Hope to hear more from you soon!
