Hi Patsie, I do not think diet is a major factor in Fibro, but it does matter somewhat: I mean eating junk foods and whatnot are bad for anybody; coffee can't be good for Fibro!! And I have heard also to eat raw foods. I eat a lot of salads.
I, myself, am I strict vegetarian... so I eat a lot of fruits and veggies! Does any of the food HELP my Fibro.. I'm not sure I'm pretty sure the salads are good to eat though (especially with cucumbers, from what I've read and heard)
And I stay away from chocolate, all caffeines, alcohol (though I used to like my wine also - I don't drink a drop of anything anymore), and carbonated stuff like sodas. I am very strict about what I eat and drink actually, not even so much from the Fibro - it's just the kind of person I am I guess.
