Sorry I haven't been around for a few days. I'm just going through some..sh.....stuff. Anyway, I just wanted to tell everyone that I was approved for Pfizer's "Connection to Care" Program and I got my Lyrica in the mail yesterday. I will get my meds for at least a year-at ZERO cost to me.
I'm starting on 100mgs twice a day (just started last PM so obviously I don't feel any different yet). My doctor thinks that I may need to go up higher, but I'll see if this dosage works for me.
BTW-for those of you in my situation-not working, waiting on disability, being supported by someone else, or having very little income, I recommend that you try asking your doctor about
this. I'm slowly learning that there are assistance programs out there. I may not qualify for all of them, but I'll take the ones I can get. I think I just assumed that I couldn't get any help because my parents are supporting me. But, I realize now that all I have to do is TRY. Yes, they may say "no," but that won't make me any worse off than I already was.
